ClickBank vs Digistore24: how the two platforms differ for buyers

Both are checkout platforms between you and the seller. ClickBank uses the clkbank.com order lookup; Digistore24 uses your confirmation email. In both cases the seller sets the window.

ClickBank and Digistore24 are both checkout platforms that sit between you and the company whose product you want. The practical difference for a buyer is where you look up the order and who sets the refund window. With ClickBank you use the clkbank.com order lookup and the charge appears as CLKBANK. With Digistore24 you use the link in your order confirmation email or its support team, and the vendor sets the guarantee. In both cases the seller's own terms decide how long you have.

We audit the offers, not the platforms, but the platform you paid through decides which door you knock on first. Here is what the platforms themselves say, and what we see across our reviews.

How does each platform describe its role?

Digistore24 describes itself on its buyer page as a full-service online sales platform that works as a reseller. In its words, you are buying from Digistore24 and not directly from the vendor, and it takes care of invoicing, customer service and payment providers such as PayPal or Klarna. After you pay you get an order confirmation email with a link to the invoice, the payment plan and the support address.

ClickBank's help center describes the platform as an e-commerce marketplace that has been operating for over 20 years, hosting supplements, ebooks, courses and software from many sellers. Your bank statement shows a charge from CLKBANK rather than the brand name of the product, and CLKBANK.COM is its customer service site where you can look up orders, request a refund, cancel a subscription or chat with support.

Both models mean the name on your card statement is not the product's brand name. If you cannot match a charge to a purchase, search your email for the platform name first.

The ClickBank window rules are worth reading closely. Its help center says most products have a refund period of 60 days, and its seller documentation says the default is 60 days, that sellers can choose a custom period between 30 and 90 days, and that longer windows are enabled through ClickBank support. The same page says the refund period for purchases made with PayPal is 180 days. For Digistore24, we found no single platform-wide window on the buyer page, which fits our review notes: the window is whatever the vendor offers and the order form shows.

Who do you contact first on each platform?

On ClickBank, start at CLKBANK.COM, not with the seller's website. Look up the order, select it, and choose the refund request. ClickBank says that if the refund period has passed, the refund option is not displayed, and to ask after that you must contact the seller directly using the Seller Information section of the order details.

On Digistore24, start with the confirmation email. It links to your order page, where you can also change the payment method or cancel a subscription if there are no pending payments. Digistore24 gives two ways to request a return: the help center link in the email, or an email to its helpdesk with your order ID and purchase email. It says it aims to answer within 24 to 48 hours.

Our step-by-step guides cover both routes: the ClickBank refund guide and the Digistore24 refund guide.

What do refund terms look like in real blood sugar offers?

Platform rules set a floor, but sellers can promise more. Across the blood sugar category we see both platforms and a wide spread of terms.

  • ClickBank, long window confirmed. The Gluco Extend review records a 180-day guarantee that the ClickBank checkout page also states, three times the 60 days most ClickBank supplements use. The Diabetes Freedom review records a 365-day window on the ClickBank order form for a $37 program.
  • ClickBank, strings attached. The Gluco6 review notes a 60-day "empty bottle" guarantee where bottles are returned and a shipping and handling fee is deducted. The Sugar Defender review records a similar "minus shipping and handling" condition.
  • ClickBank, seller route. The GlucoBerry review notes a 180-day empty-bottle guarantee, but the sales page tells you to contact support through the seller rather than through ClickBank directly, even though ClickBank is the retailer of record.
  • Digistore24, window not on the form. The Berberine Starter Pack review notes that the Digistore24 form does not state a return window, while the vendor says 90 days and the buyer pays return shipping. Our review advises asking support to confirm before relying on the longer figure.
  • Digistore24, mixed signals. The GlucoGuard Pro review records a 60-day rule on the main guarantee badge and the vendor policy, a 180-day badge further down, and an FAQ that says bottles need not be returned. We advise planning on 60 days and getting any longer promise in writing.

The pattern is the same on both platforms: the shortest, clearest figure is the safest one to plan around. Screenshot the order form and keep your receipt.

Does the platform change how risky the purchase is?

It changes the logistics, not the quality of the product. Digistore24 says that all products sold through it go through an approval process that checks approval criteria, legal requirements and whether the key purchase information is presented. That is a check of the offer's paperwork, not a test of whether a supplement does what the sales page implies. ClickBank, for its part, says a purchase is backed by its satisfaction guarantee, but its return policy also states that for digital products, where you keep the product, it may issue a return for less than the full price.

Subscriptions work differently on each platform. ClickBank says you can cancel a recurring product at any time, but a cancellation only stops future charges and does not by itself return money you have already paid. A refund is a separate request. Digistore24 says you can usually cancel recurring payments yourself on the order page, provided there are no pending payments.

Neither platform is a health rating. For that, see how we score offers in our review method and read the review of the product itself.

What should you do before you buy?

  1. Find out which platform is on the order form. Look at the checkout page, not the sales page. We have seen sales pages that name one platform while checkout ran through the other, as in our Pineal XT review.
  2. Write down the refund window shown at checkout and compare it with the sales page. If they differ, use the shorter one.
  3. Check what must be returned. Many supplement offers ask for the bottles, empty or not, and the return shipping is usually yours.
  4. Save the receipt email and order number. Both platforms look orders up with them.
  5. Set a calendar reminder for a few days before the window closes.
  6. Cancel auto-ship in the same request if you were enrolled.

FAQ

Is ClickBank or Digistore24 safer for buyers?

Neither platform's help pages claim to rate product quality. Both provide an order lookup and a support route for refunds, so the safer purchase is the one with a clear window, a legible receipt and a refund policy you have read.

How long does a ClickBank refund take to show up?

ClickBank says refunds typically post within 3 to 5 business days for most card payments, can take longer for international transactions, and usually appear within 24 to 48 hours in PayPal.

Can I still get a refund after the window has passed?

On ClickBank the refund option disappears, and you must contact the seller directly through the Seller Information on your order. On Digistore24, ask support; the answer depends on the vendor's terms and on local law.

What do I need to request a refund?

The email address you used, plus an order number on ClickBank, or an order ID on Digistore24. If you have neither, ClickBank accepts the last four card digits or zip code, and Digistore24 accepts a screenshot of the charge.
