If your supplement order has not arrived, start by checking the delivery estimate on the order page and your receipt email. If the seller gave no estimate, a federal rule says it must ship within 30 days of your order. Once that date has passed, contact the seller or the payment processor in writing, ask for tracking or a refund, and keep a copy of everything you send.
This guide walks through that process in the order that tends to work best: confirm the date, gather proof, contact the right party, use the refund window, and only then go to your card issuer.
How long should a supplement order take before it is late?
It is late when it passes the delivery time the seller promised at the time you ordered. Sales pages usually give a range. One review on this site, Neuro-Balance Therapy, notes that the sales page promises delivery within 3 to 10 business days for the physical version, for example. Digital-only versions are different: they are delivered instantly, so a missing download is a different kind of problem and usually a quick one for support to fix.
If you cannot find a promised date, count from the day your card was charged. Write down three dates now: the day you ordered, the day the estimate says it should arrive, and the day the 30-day limit ends. You will need all three in your message.
What does the FTC rule say about shipping times?
The FTC's Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule covers most goods ordered online. According to the FTC's business guide to the rule, a seller must have a reasonable basis for any shipping time it states. If it states none, it must have a reasonable basis to believe it can ship within 30 days.
The same guide explains what happens when a seller cannot meet the date. It must ask for your consent to the delay, and the first delay notice has to include a revised shipping date (or say that one is unknown) and tell you that you can cancel for a full and prompt refund. If it cannot get your consent, it must refund the money without being asked. The FTC's consumer page on online shopping puts the short version this way: sellers must ship as promised in their ads, or within 30 days if they promised nothing.
Two details are useful. First, the guide says that when a fulfillment house or drop shipper causes the delay, the seller is still the one responsible, because it is the party that took your order. Second, the rule is a US rule. A seller with an overseas address is harder to pursue, which is one more reason to use the payment-processor and card routes below instead of relying on the rule alone. The Cardio Shield review, for instance, notes that the label gives a London address for the distributor.
What should you do in the first week?
Work through this checklist before you write to anyone. It takes about ten minutes and makes every later step faster.
- Find the receipt email. Search for the processor name (for ClickBank orders, the card statement line starts with CLKBANK*) and for the product name. Note the order number.
- Look for a shipping email. Check spam and promotions folders. Many sellers send tracking from a separate fulfillment address.
- Check the tracking number. If there is one, look it up with the carrier directly. A package that says delivered but is not at your door is a carrier claim, so ask the seller to open one.
- Check the address you typed. A swapped apartment number or an old billing address is a common cause of a bounced parcel.
- Screenshot the order page or save the email that shows the delivery estimate and the price you paid.
- Look at your card statement. Confirm what was charged and under what name, so you can tell a one-time purchase from a subscription.
Who should you contact first: the seller, ClickBank or your card issuer?
Contact the seller and the processor together, in writing, and leave the card issuer for later. A written message creates a dated record, and a phone call does not.
For offers sold through ClickBank, ClickBank describes its customer site, clkbank.com, as the place to find CLKBANK orders, manage subscriptions, request refunds or contact support. Our ClickBank refund guide covers the lookup steps. Offers sold through Digistore24 have their own process, described in the Digistore24 refund guide.
Your message should be short and specific. Include the order number, the date you ordered, the promised delivery date, the tracking number if you have one, and one clear request: ship it by a stated date or refund me in full. Ask for a ticket number and keep it.
Give the seller a fair, short deadline, such as five business days. If the answer is a vague apology with no tracking number, escalate the same day instead of waiting again.
Does a missing order stop the refund clock?
Not automatically, and this is the trap. Refund windows are written for products you have in your hands, and the wording on your order form decides when the days start counting. In our reviews, the windows run from 60 days to a full year:
- Arteris Plus lists a 60-day window.
- Cardio Shield lists 180 days.
- VenoPlus 8 and Bazopril both list 365 days.
With a 60-day window, a parcel that arrives on day 25 leaves you little time to try the product and decide, so ask in your ticket whether the window starts at the order date or the delivery date, and get the answer in writing. With a 365-day window the risk is much lower, but the safest habit is the same: do not let a missing order sit.
The Bazopril review also shows why checking the label matters when a box finally arrives: it notes that the sales page never states how many capsules a bottle holds or how many to take daily, so the first bottle you receive may be the first time you learn either number. Keep the box and the insert, because many sellers ask for the original packaging if you return anything.
What if the free trial or subscription keeps billing?
Cancel in the same ticket. A missing shipment does not pause a recurring charge. The FLOW Nitric Oxide Booster review describes an offer where the first bottle is "free" with shipping paid, and the order then continues as an automatic monthly charge of $22.47 to $27.42, according to the review. If that bottle is late, a second charge can land before the first one shows up.
Ask three things in writing: cancel any repeat shipment, confirm that no further charge will be taken, and refund any charge for a product you never received. Our review method explains how we record trial and subscription terms, so you can compare them with what you saw at checkout.
When should you dispute the charge with your card issuer?
Use a dispute when the seller and processor have not resolved the problem within a reasonable time, or when you cannot reach anyone. The FTC's page on credit cards and disputing charges says the Fair Credit Billing Act covers billing errors, which include charges for things you did not accept or that were not delivered as agreed.
The deadlines are firm, and they are the reason not to wait too long:
- Your dispute letter must reach the card issuer within 60 days after the first bill with the error was sent to you.
- The issuer must acknowledge it in writing within 30 days of getting it.
- The issuer must resolve the dispute within 90 days of getting it.
Send the letter to the billing-inquiries address, not the payment address, and attach copies (never originals) of your order confirmation and your messages to the seller. While the issuer investigates, the FTC says you can withhold payment of the disputed amount. Be aware that a chargeback may close the processor's case, as noted in our ClickBank guide, so make the processor attempt first and write down its answer.
How can you avoid a late order next time?
A few minutes of checking before checkout prevents most of these problems.
- Read the shipping line on the sales page and on the final order form, and screenshot both.
- Prefer paying by credit card. The FTC's online shopping advice says a credit card gives the best protection if something goes wrong.
- Check the refund window and who handles it. Each review lists both in its refund box; our full list of reviews is a good place to compare before you decide.
- For a blood pressure or heart-health product, browse the heart health category to compare several offers instead of buying the first page you see.
- Talk to a doctor or pharmacist before starting any supplement, especially if you take prescription medicine. A delayed order is a good moment to ask.
FAQ
How long can a seller take to ship a supplement?
It must ship within the time it promised. If it promised none, the FTC says 30 days from receipt of your order and payment details. If it cannot meet that, it must tell you and offer you the choice to wait or cancel for a full refund.
Can I get a refund if my order never arrives?
Yes, in most cases you can ask for one. Start with the seller and the processor in writing. If neither resolves it, a credit card dispute for goods not delivered is the next step, within the issuer's deadlines described above.
The tracking says delivered but I have no package. What now?
Check with neighbors and your building's mail area, then ask the seller to open a carrier claim. Send your order number and a photo of where parcels are normally left. If the seller refuses, treat it as an order that was not delivered.
Should I cancel my card before the order arrives?
Not unless your card number was exposed. Canceling the card does not cancel the order or the subscription, and it can cause a failed payment mark. Cancel the order with the seller and processor in writing instead.
